What identification documents do I need to bring to my SIA security course?
There are 4 possible combinations of documents that you can bring to your course, as follows:
3 items from Group A OR 2 items from Group A + 1 item from Group B OR 1 item from Group A + 2 items from Group B OR 5 items from Group B
All documents should be in your current address. We cannot accept photocopies.

Group A
Signed valid passport (any nationality)
Original UK birth certificate or certified copy (issued within 12 months of birth)
Signed UK photo driving licence (photo licence both parts required)
HM Forces ID Card (UK)
UK adoption certificate
Valid UK firearms licence with photo

Group B
Certified copy of a UK birth certificate (issued more than 12 months after date of birth, but not a photocopy)
Marriage certificate or Civil Partnership certificate (with translation if not in English)
P45 statement of income for tax purposes on leaving a job **
P60 annual statement of income for tax purposes **
Bank or building society statement issued to current address *
Mortgage statement **
Gas/Electric/Telephone/Water/satellite/cable/mobile phone * (you can only use a maximum of one utility bill)
Multiple bills are accepted if from different service providers
TV licence in your name and current address **
Pension, endowment or ISA statement **
Certificate of British Nationality
British work permit or Visa **
Letter from the Inland Revenue/ DWP/ Employment Service/ local authority (Multiple letters are accepted if each of them is from a different Government Department or different Local Authorities. A local Authority is someone you pay council tax to)
Multiple credit card statements in your current address and from different providers *
Court summons **
Child benefit book **
A pay slip, with your address, and the employers name or logo. *
Valid EU photo ID card
Signed UK paper driving licence
Non UK birth certificate (with translation if not in English)

* less than 3 months old ** issued in the last 12 months
